Susan Kern runs through the list of Scholarship Awards recepients.  Sorry none were able to join us because of finals but the family members did stand up in the audience.

 

Barbara Arbogast receives her Distinguished Service Award from Al Golfarb.  Barb has been with us here at the university for eight years.  Barb works at feeding the homeless at Safe Harbor, she recently planned and implemented an activites program for senior citizens from her church and the community, and currently works with members of the Illinois Specialized Education organization.

Arlene Hosea receives her Distinguished Service Award from Al Golfarb.  Arlene has been with us here at the university for 11 years.  Arlene's commitment to excellence and exemplary teamwork, she has shown a strong commitment to diversity and other related issues staff and student bring to our ccampus.

Dee Beverly receives her Distinguished Service Award from Al Golfarb.  Dee has been here with us at the university for 19 years.  Dee conducts recycling educatoinal sessions for grade school and university students, Dee is very active in Community Service through involvment in Leadership mcLean County, and Dee volunteers at Bent Grade School to help students with readying and math.

Colleen Lucht receives his Distinguished Servie Award from Al Golfarb.  Colleen has been with us here at the university for 25 years.  Colleen meets with several Community agencies; McLean County Emergency Services Disaster Agency, REd Cros, McLean County Disaster Council To name a few,  She is an excellent team member and leader, has a master's degree in counseling, and worked for and volunteered time to counsel with juvenile offenders and wards fo the court.

Terry Brown receives his Distinguished Service Award from Al Golfarb.  Terry has been with us here at the university for 17 years.  Terry is a member of The Association of Black Academic Employees, Past board member Illinois State University Credit Union served as secretary (2 years) and treasure (4 years) and Terry developed the "Reverse Distribution" which eliminated unsightly dumpsters on campus.

Russ Derango receives his Distinguished Service Award from Al Golfarb.  Russ has been with us here at the University for 22 years.  Russ has been able to implement policies that were not necessarily popular but were needed to improve the productivity and efficiency of the University Farm, Russ Exhibits exceptional performanc and leadership, and Russ is our primary contact to the Town of Normal for the Department of Agricultur's greant program receiving the landscape waste from the town.
