  4. David Hall, Payroll Office and Greg Lyle, Student Accounts on the pros and cons of bi-weekly paychecks and direct deposit.
  5. Karen Stephens on the Child Care Implementation Team
  6. Tammy Carlson and Ben Ryburn on the Valuing Individual Performance program.
  7. Dick Runner and Joe Rives on Educating Illinois and the Campus Master Plan.
  8. VP Susan Kern on the Capital Campaign.

Events/Awards/Achievements:

  1. Wrote and adopted (by general vote) a new CS Council Constitution to better reflect the growing role of Civil Service in the campus shared governance system.
  2. Wrote and adopted new CS Council By-Laws.
  3. Awarded 4 Distinguished Service Awards Selected and an Esprit de Award.
  4. Held a CS lunch on Milner Plaza to benefit the scholarship fund.
  5. Conducted a raffle to benefit the CS scholarships – earned $1, 307.
  6. Investigated the Semi-monthly vs. Biweekly paycheck issue.
  7. Began a discussion of Social Security Numbers and identity theft.  Sent a detailed memo to VP Steve Bragg about this issue.
  8. Participated in the Homecoming Parade.
  9. Holiday Party starring the Gamma Phi Circus was held for children and grandchildren of all Civil Service Employees.
  10. Participated in WJBC Brotherhood Tree (172 gifts and $284 collected).
  11. Sponsored a fall shopping trip to St. Louis – visited both the Galleria and Union Station
  12. Sponsored a spring shopping trip to Woodfield.
  13. Awarded four $500 scholarships to children and grandchildren of
    Civil Service staff.
