Acccomplishments 2005-2006
Events/Awards/Achievements:
- Awarded 10 scholarships totaling $5,000 to dependents of Civil Service Staff.
- Awarded the fourth annual Carl Johansen scholarship award to a Civil Service staff member who is seriously pursuing a degree.
- Held a Fall Picnic on Milner Plaza.
- Participated in the Homecoming Parade.
- Holiday Party starring the Gamma Phi Circus was held for children and grandchildren of all ISU Employees. Co-sponsored by the AP Council
- Chair and another member attended Council of Councils statewide meeting
- Sent 5 buses of people to a Cubs game.
- Participated in the WJBC Brotherhood Tree.
- Held a raffle to earn money for additional scholarships.
- Sponsored a food drive to benefit the Compassion Center.
- Council invited to dinner at the President and First Lady’s house at beginning of academic year.
- Council continued having a mail box within the Academic Senate office and 2.5 hours of secretarial help a week.
- Awarded five Distinguished Service Awards and one Espirit De Corps award to outstanding civil service staff.
- Sponsored a Monical’s Pizza night to raise money for operating expenses.
- ISUAA (Annuitant’s Association) chair continued regular participation in Council meetings.
- Continued sending Welcome letters to new CS Employees.

- Julie Jensen, Human Resources—updates for classification testing, including electronic testing.
- Dick Runner and Rick Kentzler, Facilities Planning—Campus Master Planning and Gregory Street Property
